Feeder For LP 800

Use the following paper types:

  Size: Letter or A4

  Paper Quality: 16 to 28 lbs

You can stack up to 300 sheets of paper in the paper cassette.  The paper
cassette's fill indicator lets you know when the paper level is getting
low.

LOADING PAPER

Follow these steps to load the paper in the 2nd Bin Sheet Feeder.

WARNINGS:

  Do not load paper above the cassette guide line on the cassette plate.

  Do not attempt to load paper while the printer is operating.

1. Slide out the paper cassette and place the paper stack in the paper
   cassette.

2. Replace the paper cassette.

MAKING A TEST PRINT

After you load the paper, make a test print to check the paper feed.
Before you begin, be sure the printer's TRY menu is set to 2nd ONLY, 2nd,
or BOTH.

1. Turn on the printer's power.

2. Press ON LINE until OFF-LINE appears on the display.

3. Press PRINT FONT/TEST until STATUS PRINT appears on the display.
   The paper feeds from the 2nd Bin Sheet Feeder and then the test print
   begins.

4. After the test print ejects, press ON LINE until ON-LINE appears on
   the display.

If the test print fails, or if the paper feeds from the printer's primary
paper cassette, reinstall the 2nd Bin Sheet Feeder.

NOTE: When you use the 2nd Bin Sheet Feeder in the application software,
      select the HP LaserJet III printer driver.
