Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer (630-0859) Operating Faxback Doc. # 6422 The temperature updates every 10 seconds, so it might take several minutes for the temperature to register a rapid temperature change. TEMPERATURE DISPLAY RANGES Because the indoor temperature sensor is on the thermometer but the outdoor temperature sensor is on an outside remote location, the outdoor and indoor temperature display ranges are slightly different. INDOOR TEMPERATURES When the indoor temperature is above 122 degrees F or below 23 degrees F, the display blanks out. OUTDOOR TEMPERATURES When the outdoor temperature is above 158 degrees F, HHH appears on the display. When the outdoor temperature is below - 58 degrees F, LLL appears on the display. Note: When the indoor or outdoor temperatures return to within the measurement range, the LCD display returns to normal. MAXIMUM AND MINIMUM TEMPERATURES The thermometer automatically stores in memory the maximum and minimum indoor and outdoor temperatures since you last reset the thermometer or replaced the battery. READING THE MAXIMUM AND MINIMUM TEMPERATURES To display the recorded maximum or minimum temperatures, press MIN or MAX. The minimum or maximum temperature recorded and MIN or MAX appear on the display. To return the display to the current indoor and outdoor temperatures, press MIN or MAX again. MIN or MAX disappears from the display and the current indoor and outdoor temperatures reappear on the display. CLEARING THE MAXIMUM AND MINIMUM TEMPERATURES Press RESET to clear the maximum and minimum temperatures stored in memory, MAX, MIN, and - 188.8 degrees E appear on the display for about 3 seconds. Then the current temperature reading reappears on the display. USING THE STAND You can use the stand on the back of the thermometer for easy viewing.
