The Radio Shack ET-498 10-Channel Cordless Telephone with 10-Number
Memory includes the latest advances in cordless phone technology.  It has
these features:

        Advanced Super CCT Circuitry - Provides clarity comparable to a
                                       corded phone, reduces background
                                       noise, and increases effective
                                       operating distance.

    Automatic Access-Protection Code - Changes each time you return the
                                       handset to the base to help
                                       prevent other cordless phone users
                                       from using your phone line when
                                       your handset is not on the base.

                             COM-LOK - Ensures that other cordless phone
                                       users cannot use your phone
                                       line while the handset is on the
                                       base.

                        Ten Channels - So you can select the channel that
                                       gives you the clearest reception.

                   Ten-Number Memory - Stores 10 numbers up to 16 digits
                                       each, so you can quickly dial
                                       them.

                              Redial - So you can dial the last number
                                       dialed with the touch of a single
                                       button.

                               Flash - Sends the electronic equivalent of
                                       a switchhook signal for use with
                                       special phone services such as
                                       call forwarding and call waiting.

Touch Tone or Pulse (Rotary) Dialing - Lets you use your phone on systems
                                       with touch tone or pulse service.

                                Page - Lets you ring the handset from the
                                       base so you can page someone using
                                       the handset or easily locate the
                                       handset if you misplace it.  When
                                       you page the handset, the ring
                                       does not disconnect a call in
                                       progress.

           Hearing Aid Compatibility - So you can use your phone with
                                       hearing aids that have a T
                                       (telephone) switch.

                  Ring Off/On Switch - Saves handset battery power.

                Handset Auto Connect - Hangs up the phone when you set
                                       it on the base.  When you pick up
                                       the handset again, the phone is
                                       automatically on.

For your important records we encourage you to record the serial number
of your phone.  The serial number is marked on the bottom panel of the
base.
