Model 36 (160-0706) Connections for Dubbing Faxback Doc. # 6531 Connect the recording VCR's video and audio input jacks to the corresponding video and audio output jacks on the playback VCR. SELECTING THE A/V INPUT SOURCE The Model 36 has two sets of audio/video input jacks. You can use either set for dubbing. If you connect to both front and rear input jacks, the front jacks have priority. To Select the A/V input source, press INPUT SELECT on the VCR so the display shows LINE. DUBBING A VIDEO CASSETTE Follow these steps to dub a video cassette 1. Insert a pre-recorded video cassette into the playback VCR. 2. Insert the video cassette you want to record on into the recording VCR. 3. Set the recording VCR to the A/V mode. If you are using the model 36 as the recording VCR, press INPUT SELECT on the VCR so LINE appears on the display. 4. Select the recording speed on the recording VCR, if necessary. 5. Start recording on the recording VCR. 6. Begin playback of the tape in the playback VCR. Note: For best results during dubbing, use the VCR's front panel controls whenever possible. The remote control of one VCR might affect the operation of the other. MONITORING DUBBING If you are using the Model 36 as the recording VCR, follow these steps to monitor a video cassette tape as you record. 1. Turn on the TV connected to the Model 36 and set it to the same channel as the Model 36's CHANNEL switch (3 or 4)). If you use a TV monitor, set it to the video mode. 2.
