LASER SAFETY

This unit employs a laser.  Only a qualified person should remove the
cover or attempt to service this device, because of possible eye injury.

CAUTION:  Use of controls, adjustments, or performance or procedures other 
          than specified herein may result in hazardous radiation
          exposure.

DANGER:  Invisible laser radiation when open and interlock failed or
         defeated.  Avoid direct exposure to beam.

A CONSUMER GUIDE TO PRODUCT SAFETY

1.  Read Instructions - Read the safety and operating instructions before
    operating the system.

2.  Retain Instructions - Retain the safety and operating instructions for
    future reference.

3.  Follow all warnings on the system and in the operating instructions.

4.  Follow Instructions - Follow all operating and use instructions.

5.  Water and Moisture - Do not use the system near water; for example, 
    near a bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, in a wet
    basement, or near a swimming pool, etc.

6.  Carts and Stands - Use the system only with a cart or stand that is
    recommended by the manufacturer.  A system and cart combination should
    be moved with care.  Quick stops, excessive force and uneven surfaces
    can cause the system and cart combination to overturn.

7.  Ventilation - Place the system so its location or position does not
    interfere with its proper ventilation.  For example, the system should
    not be situated on a bed, sofa, rug, or similar surface that might
    block the ventilation openings; or placed in a built-in-installation,
    such as a bookcase or cabinet that might impede the flow of air
    through the ventilation openings.

8.  Power Sources - Connect the system to a power supply only of the type
    described in the operating instructions or as marked on the system.

9.  Grounding or Polarization - This product is equipped with a polarized
    alternating-current line plug (a plug having one blade wider than the
    other).  This plug will fit into the power outlet only one way.
    This is a safety feature.  If you are unable to insert the plug fully
    into the outlet, try reversing the plug.  If the plug should still
    fail to fit, contact your electrician to replace your obsolete outlet.
    Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized plug.

10. Power Cord Protection - Route power-supply cords so they are not 
    likely to be walked on or pinched by items placed upon or against
    them, paying particular attention to cords at plugs, convenience
    receptacles, and the points where they exit from the system.

11. Cleaning - Clean the system only as recommended by the manufacturer.

12. Power Lines - Locate an outdoor antenna away from power lines.

13. Nonuse Periods - Unplug the power cord from the outlet when the system
    is to be left unused for a long period of time.

14. Objects and Liquid Entry - Take care that objects do not fall and
    liquids are not spilled into the enclosure through openings.

15. Damage Requiring Service - The system should be serviced by qualified
    service personnel when:

  A.  The power-supply cord or the plug has been damaged; or
  B.  Object have fallen, or liquid has been spilled into the system; or
  C.  The system has been exposed to rain; or
  D.  The system does not appear to operate normally or exhibits a marked
      change in performance; or
  E.  The system has been dropped; or the enclosure damaged.

16. Heat - Situate the system away from heat sources such as radiators,
    heat registers, stoves or other appliances (including amplifiers) that
    produce heat.

17. Outdoor Antenna Grounding - If an outside antenna is connected to the
    receiver, be sure the antenna system is grounded so as to provide
    some protection against voltage surges and built-in static charges.

Section 810 of the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA No. 70-1984,
provides information with regard to proper grounding of the lead-in wire
to an antenna discharge unit, size of grounding conductors, location of
antenna-discharge unit, connection to grounding electrodes, and
requirements for the grounding electrodes.

18. Servicing - Do not attempt to service the system beyond what is
    described in the operating instructions.  All other servicing should
    be referred to qualified service personnel.

CAUTION:  To prevent electric shock, do not use this polarized plug with
          an extension cord, receptacle or other outlet unless blades can
          be fully inserted to prevent blade exposure.
