USING THE FADER CONTROL Use the FADER control to adjust the balance between front and rear speakers. Rotating FADER to F (Front) decreases the sound level of the rear speakers: rotating FADER to R (Rear) decreases the sound level of the front speakers. ADJUSTING THE SOUND Set the radio/cassette player's treble and bass controls (or tone control) to the center position. Then adjust the equalizer's slide controls for the desired sound. Each slide control affects a range of frequencies. The midpoint of each control's frequency range is indented. To boost a frequency range's level, slide the control above the midpoint (O dB) toward + 12 dB) toward -12dB. To leave a frequency range's level unchanged (flat response), set the control to the midpoint (O dB). BYPASSING THE EQUALIZER Press BYPASS in to bypass the equalizer's circuit so you can hear the sound without change (flat response). To hear the equalized sound, press BYPASS again to release the button. (BR/all-6/28/84)
