System 710 (130-1253) Programming Faxback Doc. # 6633 PROGRAMMING STATIONS INTO MEMORY You can program stations into memory using automatic tuner programming or manual programming. Automatic Tuner Programming You can store up to 30 stations into Channels 1 to 30, in any band combination (AM/FM AUTO/MONO). Then you can instantly tune to a station by selecting the channel number with the remote control's TUNER/CD-10KEY buttons. You can also use the System 710's TUNING/EQUALIZER up arrow or down arrow to scan through the stored stations. Follow these steps to store all active stations in your area: 1. Press AM/FM AUTO/MONO to select the desired band. 2. Press SET MEMORY on the front panel. MEMO flashes and the channel indicator lights on the display. Select Channel 1 with TUNING/ EQUALIZER up arrow or down arrow. 3. Press TUNING/EQUALIZER >. The tuner scans through the selected band and stores all active stations in your area. Scanning stops and MEMO stops flashing when the tuner reaches the end of the band (or when all 30 channels are programmed). 4. Press TUNING/EQUALIZER up arrow or down arrow to see what station has been stored in each channel. Manual Programming Follow these steps to manually program a station. 1. Press TUNING/EQUALIZER < or > to select a frequency. 2. Press SET MEMORY. MEMO flashes and the channel indicator lights. Select the desired channel number with TUNING/EQUALIZER up arrow or down arrow. 3. Press SET MEMORY to store the station. MEMO disappears and the station is stored in memory. Note: If you store a station you do not want, simply store another station over the old one. 4. Press the remote control's appropriate TUNER/CD-10KEY button for the desired channel to recall a stored station. To select a 2-digit channel, press + 10 (once for a number in the teens, twice for a number in the twenties, and three times for thirty) and then the last digit of the channel number. Last Station Recall When you turn off the power, the System 710 memorizes the last station you tuned. The tuner tunes to that station the next time you turn on the power. (LB/all-07/11/94)
