IF YOU HAVE PROBLEMS

If the 6-in-1 does not control the remote control devices when you first
set it up, you probably haven't entered the correct 3-digit code for your
devices.  You can try all the codes for the brand of your device, but
because many manufacturers make products using several different brand
names, you might want to search the 6-in-1's entire library as follows:

1.  Manually turn on the device you are trying to set up.

2.  Aim the 6-in-1 at the device.

3.  Press the following keys:

         A - B - (device key) - POWER

     Notes:  The device keys are TV, CABLE, VCR, and AUX.

             If the original remote control does not have a power key,
             use any other common key on the original remote control
             instead of the POWER key.

4.  Repeatedly press C - POWER until the device responds to the 6-in-1.

    Each time you press C - POWER, the 6-in-1 advances to the next
    manufacturer's code in its library and sends the remote control code
    for POWER.

5.  When the device responds to the 6-in-1, press A to lock in the current
    manufacturer's code.

6.  To determine which 3-digit code the 6-in 1 has responded to, simply
    press:

    A - (device) - 1

The 6-in-1 LED will "blink out" the number of the first digit.  Then press
"2" to have the LED blink the number of the second digit, and "3" for the
third digit.

Repeat this procedure for each device key.

    Note:  Because of the huge number of codes in the 6-in-1, this
           procedure can take several minutes for each device.

When you reach the end of the library, the red IR indicator blinks three
times.  However, you might begin searching in the middle of the library,
so you must wait for the three blinks to occur a second time before you
can be sure you have tried all the codes.

If the 6-in-1 does not control your devices and you are sure you have
entered the correct codes, or if you cannot find your device using the
library search method just described, re-initialize the 6-in-1 as follows.
Press 

         A - B - C - 9 - 9 - 9 - 9
         (device key) - (device key)

For example, to re-initialize the TV device key, press

          A - B - C - 9 - 9 - 9 - TV - TV

Repeat this procedure for each of the 6-in-1's device keys.

If the 6-in-1 stops working after you have successfully tested the control
of each device, check the following:

   *  Be sure you press the device key for the device you want to control.

   *  Replace the batteries.

   *  Confirm that the remote control devices are working properly using
      manual controls or the original remotes.
