4.8V 600 mAH nickel cadmium battery packs require a complete charge before
use.

1.  Connect the charger's terminal to the battery, following correct
    polarity.

    Note:  If the connector seems to not mate easily, do not force it.  Be
           sure you have properly positioned the connectors.

2.  Plug the charger into a standard household AC outlet.  The red
    charging indicator (module) lights.

3.  Charge the battery pack for 14 to 16 hours.

    Note:  Do not overcharge the battery.  Overcharging can reduce the
           battery's life.

4.  When you finish recharging, disconnect the charger module from the AC
    outlet first.  Then disconnect the battery from the charger.  Never
    disconnect the battery connector by pulling on the wires.

    Caution:  Always use extreme caution when recharging batteries.  Use
              only the Radio Shack 4.8 volt turbo racing battery pack with
              this charger.  Improperly designed chargers, overcharging,
              or charging battery packs with one or more damaged cells can
              cause the battery to burst and spray caustic chemicals,
              causing personal injury or property damage.
