DMP-207 (260-2917) Alarms Faxback Doc. # 6688 When an alarm occurs, the indicators will flash. The type of alarm determines which lights flash. The following are the types of alarms you can receive and how to clear the errors which caused them. Alarm Indicators: POWER/PAPER OUT flashes Probable cause: 1. The printer is out of paper. 2. The paper in the printer is jammed. Remedy: 1. Load more paper. 2. Clear the jam and reload paper. Alarm Indicators: ON LINE indicator flashes while the POWER/PAPER OUT indicator remains on. Probable cause: This is a warning that the printhead is hot, which can occasionally happen during times of heavy printing. Remedy: No action is required. When the printhead has cooled sufficiently, the printer will return to on line and automatically resume printing. Alarm Indicators: ON LINE and POWER/PAPER OUT indicators alternately flash. Probable cause: The printhead was not positioned correctly because of a hardware error or temporary malfunction. Remedy: Turn the printer off and then on again. If the problem still occurs, contact your local Radio Shack store. (ALL-06/28/94)
