USING AC POWER Caution: You must use an AC adapter that supplies 3 volts and delivers at least 300 milliamps. Its center tip must be set to negative, and its plug must correctly fit the cassette player's DC 3V jack. Using an adapter that does not meet these specifications could seriously damage the cassette player or the adapter. We recommend Radio Shack's Cat. No. 273-1654 (not supplied). To power the cassette player from a standard AC outlet: 1. Set the adapter's voltage switch to 3V. 2. Insert the adapter's black barrel plug into the adapter's socket. Line up TIP - on the plug with -NEG on the socket. 3. Insert the barrel plug's other end into the cassette player's DC 3V jack. Note: Connecting a power adapter automatically disconnects the internal batteries. 4. Insert the adapter's AC plug into a standard AC outlet. USING DC POWER Cautions: You must use a DC adapter that supplies 3V Volts and delivers at least 300 milliamps.
