TAD-514 (430-0752) Remote Code Faxback Doc. # 6957 Using Remote Control Command Follow these steps to use remote commands. 1. Dial your phone number. 2. Wait for the TAD to answer, when the TAD plays the OGM, enter your security code. The TAD responds with a beep. Note: If the TAD has no recorded messages, it does not answer until the fourth ring (toll saver). If it has messages, it answers on the second or third ring. 3. After the beep, enter a remote command by pressing the number for the desired function. See "Remote Control Command Descriptions." After each function, the TAD sounds the command prompt (two short beeps). You can then hang up the phone or enter another command within 12 seconds. Remote Control Command Descriptions Play - Press 1 to play incoming messages. The tape rewinds and plays all the messages. After the last message, two beeps sound. You can either save, erase or replay the messages. Save - To save messages, simple hang up the handset. Erase - Press 6 after the TAD plays the last message and sounds two beeps. The TAd responds with two more beeps and disconnects New messages record over the old messages. Fast Forward - Press 9 to fast forward through the messages during playback. To resume playback, press 8. If the tape reaches the end of the messages, the TAD sounds two beeps. Press 1 to replay the messages. Rewind - Press 7 to rewind the tape during playback. To resume playback, press 8. If the tape has rewound to the beginning, the TAD beeps and plays the messages again. Stop - Press 8 to stop play or to stop rewind/fast forward. The TAD stops and beeps twice. To resume play, and beeps twice. To resume play, press 1. The tape rewinds and plays all the messages. Change OUT-GOING MESSAGE - Press 3 to record a new OUT-GOING MESSAGE. The TAD beeps. After the beeps record your new OUT-GOING MESSAGE. When you finish, press 3 again to stop recording. A beep sounds and the new OUT-GOING MESSAGE plays so you can check it. Note: In order to change the OUT-GOING MESSAGE by remote operation, you must first erase all messages. Make sure all messages. Make sure you have listened to any messages, enter the erase command (6), and then change the OUT-GOING MESSAGE. Recover (Retrieve) - Press 4 to recover messages if you pressed 6 to set the TAD to record over the old messages but now want to recover them. Answer Off - Press 5 to set the TAD to not answer calls.
