FM Wireless Microphone (320-1221) Battery Faxback Doc. # 7049 Installing Transmitter/Microphone Battery Install one AA battery to power the microphone and transmitter. For longest battery life, we recommend an alkaline battery (Cat. No. 23-552). 1. Remove the battery compartment cover on the transmitter unit. 2. Install the AA battery as shown. 3. Replace the battery compartment cover. The BATTERY indicator shows the battery condition. If it flashes as you move the OFF-STANDBY-TALK switch from off to STANDBY, the battery is good. If it does not flash, the battery is weak and should be replaced. CAUTION: Never leave a weak or dead battery inside the unit. Even LEAKPROOF batteries can leak damaging chemicals. RECEIVER POWER 1. Be sure that the POWER switch is off the VOLUME control is set to minimum. 2. Connect the AC cord to a standard outlet. Or, connect a 12-volt DC power source to the DC12.6V jack. NOTES: -When both AC and DC power are connected, AC power has priority. -The DC power source must provide at least 50 mA at 12 volts, and the center contact of the plug must be positive. Radio Shack's DC power cord (Cat. No. 270-1534A) meets these requirements. (smc-02/24/94)
