TRC-508 (210-0408) Care and Maintenance Faxback Doc. # 7080 The TRC-508 transceivers are an example of superior design and craftsmanship. The following suggestions will help care for the transceivers so it can be enjoyed for years. Keep the transceivers dry. If they get wet, wipe them dry immediately. Liquids can contain minerals that can corrode the electronic circuits. Use and store the transceivers only in normal temperature environments. High temperatures can shorten the life of electronic devices and distort or melt plastic parts. Handle the transceivers gently and carefully. Dropping them can damage circuit boards and cases and can cause them to work improperly. Keep the transceivers away from dust and dirt, which can cause premature ear of parts. Wipe the transceivers with a damp cloth to keep them looking new. Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong detergents to clean the transceivers. Use only fresh 9-volt batteries. Always dispose of the old batteries promptly. (smc-02/28/94)
