Alarm Clock

Setting the Time

NOTES:

Press MODE once to set the time, or twice to set the alarm.

The clock is on a twelve-hour system.  PM appears at the left of the
display for PM hours;  the left of the display is blank during AM hours.

Follow these steps to set the time.

1.  Press MODE once with the tip of a ballpoint pen or paper clip to start
    setting the time.  The clock beeps once and the display flashes.

NOTE:  If a ball-point pen is used, it might leave a mark on the buttons.

2.  Repeatedly press or press and hold down HR. until the correct hour
    show.  The clock chimes and announces each hour as it advances,
    unless HR. is being held down or it is being pressed too quickly.

3.  Repeatedly press or press and hold down MIN. until the correct minute
    shows.  The clock chimes and announces the minutes as it advances.

4.  Press MODE twice when finished setting the time.  The clock beeps five
    times.

TURNING THE CHIME ON/OFF

To set the clock to announce the time at the beginning of each hour.,
press MIN. while the current time is on the display ((.)) appears at the
top of the display and the clock beeps four times to indicate that the
chime is on.  At the beginning of each hour, the clock chimes and
announces the time.

To turn off the chime, press MIN. again.  The clock beeps once and ((.))
disappears to indicate that the chime is off.

USING THE TALKING BUTTON

Press the green talking button, the clock chimes and announces the
current time.
