To use the alarm, the alarm time must first be set and then the alarm must
be turned on.  Follow these steps to set the alarm time.

1.  Press SET twice.  The hour digits flash and AL. appears in the middle
    of the display.  Repeatedly press or press and hold down MODE to set
    the hour.

2.  Press SET.  The minute digits flash.  Repeatedly press or press and
    hold down MODE to set the minutes.

3.  Press SET to return to the time display.

While the time is displayed, press MODE once to view the alarm time.
After about 4 seconds, the time display returns.

Follow these steps to turn on the alarm and/or hourly chime.

1.  Press SET once.  The alarm time flashes and AL. appears in the middle
    of the display.

2.  Press MODE to select the alarm/chime settings.  Each press selects a
    different combination, in this order:

Press it once to turn on the alarm only.  (((.))) appears.

Press it twice to turn on both the alarm and the chime.  (((.))) and a
bell appears.

Press it three times to turn off the alarm, but leave the chime on.  A
bell appears.

Press it again to turn off both the alarm and the chime.

3.  Press SET three times to return to the time display.

4.  Set ALARM ON/OFF to ON to turn on the alarm and/or chime.  To turn
    them off, set ALARM ON/OFF to OFF.

The alarm sounds for about 30 seconds at the alarm time.  To silence the
alarm sooner, press SET or MODE, or set ALARM ON/OFF to OFF>

When the chime is on, the clock sounds a chime at the beginning of each
hour.
