PLAYING THE RADIO

1.  Turn ON/OFF clockwise until it clicks and the radio can be heard.

2.  Set AM/FM to the desired band.

3.  Rotate TUNING to turn to the desired station.

NOTE:  To improve the radio's reception, change the radio's location.

4.  Adjust ON/OFF to a comfortable listening level.

5.  Rotate both speakers for the best sound.

6.  To turn off the radio, turn ON/OFF counterclockwise until it clicks.

USING HEADPHONES

Using headphones disconnects the speakers.  To connect a pair of
headphones, plug the headphone's 1/8" plug into the PHONE jack.  The
nearest local Radio Shack store has a wide selection of headphones.

LISTENING SAFELY

To protect hearing, follow these guidelines when the headphones are in
use.

Do not listen at extremely high volume levels.  Extended high volume
listening can lead to permanent hearing loss.

Set the volume to it's lowest level before beginning to listen.  Afer the
headphones are placed on, adjust the volume to a comfortable listening
level.

Do not increase the volume once a level has been established at a
comfortable listening level.  Over time, one's ears adapt to the listening
level, so a volume level that does not cause discomfort might still damage
hearing.
