Your Radio Shack CD-3314 Portable AM/FM Stereo Auto Stop Single Cassette
Recorder with CD Player is an all-in-one music system.  It is small and
portable so you can take it anywhere, indoors or out.  Anywhere you go, at
work or play, you can listen to the radio, pre-recorded cassette tapes or
compact discs, or even make your own recordings!

Its features include:

CASSETTE DECK Features

          Automatic Stop - Protects the tape and tape handling parts by
                           automatically stopping the tape when it reaches
                           the end.

Soft Cassette Tape Eject - Softly opens the cassette compartment door so
                           the cassette does not pop out.

     One-Touch Recording - Lets you start recording by pressing a single
                           button.

 Automatic Level Control - Automatically adjusts the recording level.

   Dual-Source Recording - Lets you record from the CD player or radio.


CD PLAYER FEATURES

       Programmable Play - Lets you program and play up to 21 tracks in
                           any sequence.

             Repeat Play - Lets you repeat a track, an entire CD, or a 
                           series of programmed tracks.

             Skip Search - Quickly locates and plays any track on a CD.

OTHER SPECIAL FEATURES

            Tone Control - Lets you customize the sound to your personal
                           preference.

        Beat/Mono/Stereo - Lets you select from two recording bias
                           frequency references to avoid the whistling
                           sound sometimes heard when recording from an AM
                           station, or lets you select monaural or stereo
                           FM reception.

For your permanent records, we recommend you record the CD-3314's serial
number.  The serial number is on the back of the CD-3314.

The CD player in this stereo system is made and tested to meet exacting
safety standards.  It meets UL and FCC requirements and complies with
safety performance standards of the U.S. Department of Health and Human
Services.  With proper care, this CD player should give you years of
trouble-free service.

CDs that can be played on this player have a label that contains the words
(Compact Disc Digital Audio).

WARNING:  This CD system employs a laser light beam.  Only a qualified
          service person should remove the cover or attempt to service
          this device, due to possible eye injury.

          The use of controls, adjustments, or procedures other than those
          specified herein may result in hazardous radiation exposure.

          To prevent electric shock, the plug's blades are polarized and
          fit only one way.  If the plug will not fit easily, turn it over
          and try again.  Do not force it.

The following graphical symbols are located on the back of the unit.

The (lightning bolt) symbol is intended to alert you to uninsulated
dangerous voltage present within the product's enclosure that may be of
sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock.  Do not open
the product's case.

The (exclamation) symbol is intended to inform you of the presence of
important operating and maintenance (servicing) instructions in the
literature accompanying the appliance.
