Welcome to the world of paging with the PersonalPager.  The Personal/Pager
is a compact, state-of-the-art communication device.

To ensure that you fully understand all of the features and capabilities
of the PersonalPager, thoroughly read these operating instructions before
using the PersonalPager.

PREPARING THE PERSONALPAGER FOR OPERATION

Battery Installation

The PersonalPager requires one "AA" battery.  For best performance, we
recommend an alkaline battery such as Radio Shack Cat. No. 23-552.

1.  Slide the battery cover lock to OPEN.

2.  Slide the entire battery cover assembly OFF.  Insert the new battery
    as indicated by the polarity symbols (+ and -) inside the battery
    compartment.

3.  Reinstall the battery cover and close the battery cover lock.

Note:  All PersonalPagers come equipped with a 2 minute memory saver.
       This function allows you 2 minutes to change the battery
       without losing any messages.  This also eliminates loss of any
       message, should you accidentally turn the unit OFF.

Setting the Side Function Switch

Set the side function switch to either of the two alert function positions
(B or C).

The unit will emit a loud alert tone if the bottom position is selected,
or vibrate if the center position is selected.

After 2 seconds, the alert will stop and the standby indicator (----)
display will show.  The alert function can also be stopped by depressing
either the Side Function or the Top Function Switch.  The unit is now
ready to receive pages.
