Telephone Line (430-0483) Troubleshooting Faxback Doc. # 7417 Intercom Set We do not expect you to have any problems with your intercom set, but if you do, this information might help. If one or both intercoms do not work or work poorly, check the connections to the modular phone line and AC adapter. If that doesn't help, disconnect both intercoms and reconnect the phones. If the phones on the same line work properly, the fault is in one or both of the intercoms or their installation. If you still have problems and the problem does not seem to be with your phone service, take the intercom set to your local Radio Shack store for assistance. LIGHTNING The intercoms have built-in protection circuits to reduce the risk of damage from surges in telephone and power line currents. These protection circuits meet or exceed FCC requirements. However, lightning striking the telephone lines or power lines can damage your intercoms. Lightning damage is not common. Nevertheless, if you live in an area that has severe electrical storms, we suggest that you unplug your intercoms during storms to reduce the possibility of damage. (LB/all-08/23/94)
