If your computer is not working as it should, follow the suggestions
below to see if you can eliminate the problem.  If you cannot, take the
computer to your local Radio Shack store for assistance.

Symptom                             Solution

The LCD display is dim or           Press GO to turn the computer on.
blank, or the computer does         Check the batteries.
not work at all.

The computer does not accept        Verify the position of all pieces,
a legal move, or displays an        black and white.
unexpected move.

During a game, the computer         The computer's sound is turned off.
will not beep.                      Press SOUND until the computer beeps
                                    twice.  See "Turning the Sound On
                                    or Off."
