Your fax ID(logo) and fax number(ID) print at the top of outgoing faxes. 7. A transmission report prints after each transmission. See "Changing the Fax Machine Settings" to change any of the default settings. CHANGING THE FAX MACHINE SETTINGS Refer to each setting's explanation in "PROGRAMMABLE SETTINGS EXPLANATIONS" and follow these steps to change the fax machine's settings. 1. Select the appropriate programming sheet for the setting you want to change. Programming sheet 1 lets you change the Fax Machine Identification(logo). Programming sheet 2 lets you change the Operation Settings(number of rings to answer, language, remote fax switch code, auto switching option, auto switching alarm time, transmit heading option, and transmission report option). Programming sheet 3 lets you change the Fax Machine Telephone Number(ID). 2. Use a soft lead pencil to fill in the squares on the original programming sheet for each setting. If you find you need to change a setting again, completely erase the original pencil marks in the squares and fill in the programming sheet with the new information. Note: Copy machines are unable to copy all of the information on the programming sheets. Refer to the character table and examples on Programming sheet 2 to fill in Programming Sheets 1 and 2. Refer to the example on programming sheet 3 to fill in that sheet. 3. Turn off the fax machine. Press and hold down [START/COPY] and [STOP]. While holding down the buttons, turn on the fax machine. The ALERT/VOICE REQUEST/POWER IN USE indicators light. The fax machine prints a report that shows all current settings. 4. Insert a completed programming sheet face down into the fax machine, top of the page inserted first, against the left side of the document slot. 5. Press [START/COPY]. The fax machine reads the sheet. If the fax machine detects and incorrect setting, ALERT flashes and fax machine sounds three beeps. Correct the error and return to step 4. 6.
