System 1035 (130-1255) Tuner Faxback Doc. # 7490 You can tune to a radio station using manual, automatic, or program tuning. NOTE: If FM stereo reception is noisy, press FM MONO. FM MONO appears on the display. The sound is no longer in stereo, but the reception improves. To return to stereo, press FM MONO again. AUTO-STEREO appears on the display. MANUAL TUNING Follow these steps to manually tune to a station. 1. Press TUNER to select the tuner. The TUNER indicator lights. 2. Press BAND until the desired band (AM, FM1, FM2, FM3) appears on the display. 3. Press FM MONO until AUTO disappears from the display. 4. Press UP or DOWN TUNING until you reach the desired station. Hold down UP or DOWN TUNING for fast tuning. AUTOMATIC TUNING Follow these steps to automatically tune to a station. 1. Press TUNER to select the tuner. The TUNER indicator lights. 2. Press BAND until the desired band (AM, FM1, FM2, FM3) appears on the display. 3. Press FM MONO until AUTO appears on the display. 4. Press UP or DOWN TUNING. The tuner automatically locks on the next strong station. PROGRAM TUNING You can store 6 AM and 18 FM stations so you can quickly tune to them. You can quickly tune to a station by selecting the band (AM, FM1, FM2, FM3) and pressing the desired preset station button (1-6) on the system, or PRESET on the remote control. Presetting Stations 1. Press TUNER. The TUNER indicator lights. 2. Press BAND until the desired band (AM, FM1, FM2, FM3) appears on the display. 3. Tune to a station you want to store. 4. Press and hold down the desired preset button (1-6) until the channel number on the display stops flashing. This stores the station in memory. 5. Repeat Steps 3 and 4 to store stations in the same band. Repeat Steps 2-4 to store stations in the other bands. NOTE: This system holds the stored stations in memory for several days if you unplug the AC power cord or if a power failure occurs. Last Station Recall When you turn off the power, the System 1035 memorizes the last station you tuned. The tuner tunes to that station the next time you turn on the power. (tlc/all-08/31/93)
