          cables and plugs available from your Radio Shack store.  This
          should be done before you alter the connection or wires of your
          Radio Shack Booster.  If necessary, get the help of an

product.  Your new Realistic 40 Watt Stereo Frequency Equalizer/Booster
represents the culmination of engineering designed to increase your
enjoyment of fine audio in your car.

Built for typical 12 volts DC negative ground installation, the 20 Watt
per channel Equalizer/Booster incorporates the latest in circuitry
enabling the following features:

7 EQUALIZATION BANDS

Each of the seven slide controls allow precise adjustment of the response
of your system with plus or minus 12 dB of boost or cut on either side of
60Hz, 150Hz, 400Hz, 1kHz, 2.4kHz, and 15kHz.

ILLUMINATED PANEL

The front panel of the unit is automatically illuminated to permit at-a-
glance determination of the settings of your controls, even at night.

OUTPUT POWER INDICATOR

Multicolored LED front panel indicators instantly show the power level of
both the left and right channels.

BUILT-IN FADER CONTROL

The rotary FADER control incorporated into the unit allows you to
accurately balance the front and rear outputs to suit your taste and your
vehicle's acoustics.

LINE LEVEL RCA TYPE INPUT JACKS

The Equalizer/Booster uses standard input jacks to permit the choice of
either a high or low level hookup to match your radio or tape player with
the line level output for the best high fidelity performance.

CD INPUT

An Audio input jack on front panel makes it possible to play portable CD
player through the Equalizer/Booster for high power output with best sound
quality.

MOUNTING BRACKET

You can install the Equalizer/Booster easily with the mounting bracket
provided.

FEATURES

SPECIAL NOTE

This Equalizer/Booster provides for both HIGH level and LOW level input.
While this unit can be connected to units which incorporate BTL or
Balanced Transformer Less circuitry, as there are many boosters which
cannot be connected to BTL circuits without damage, it is vitally
important that before connection that you properly identify the input and
the output wires and that you do not interconnect "ground" or "negative
side" speaker wires.  If you are not sure how to proceed, we urge you to
seek the assistance of an experienced electronic technician for
installation and connection to your existing system.
