LCD Travel Alarm Clock (630-0723) Operation Faxback Doc. # 7673 SETTING THE DATE AND TIME Note: Throughout this procedure, press MODE to select the item you want to set (month, date, hour, etc.) and press SET to advance the value of the item (1, 2, 3, etc.). 1. Press and hold MODE for about 2 seconds. The month appears on the display. Repeatedly press SET until the correct month appears on the display. You can press and hold SET to rapidly advance the months. 2. Press MODE. The date appears on the display. Repeatedly press SET until the correct date appears on the display. You can press and hold SET to rapidly advance the date. Note: You must manually set the date between February 28 and March 1 to adjust the clock for a leap year. 3. Press MODE. The hour appears on the display. A or P appears for an AM or PM hour. Repeatedly press SET until the correct hour appears on the display. You can press and hold SET to rapidly advance the hours. Note: After you set the hour, A or P disappears from the display. A small P then appears in the top left corner if the hour you set is a PM hour. 4. Press MODE. The minutes appear on the display. Repeatedly press SET until the correct minutes appear on the display. You can press and hold SET to rapidly advance the minutes. 5. Press MODE. The clock returns to the time display. Notes: When you set the clock for the first time, you must press SET after the time display reappears to start the clock. A static discharge could make the clock stop running or display incorrectly. To reset the clock, remove the battery and reinstall it. RESETTING THE SECONDS From the current time display, press SET three times. The seconds appear on the display. Press MODE to set the seconds to 00. Then press SET to return to the current time display. VIEWING THE DATE At the current time display, press SET twice. The date appears on the display. After about five seconds, the clock returns to the time display. Or press SET to return to the time display sooner. USING THE ALARM Setting the Alarm Time 1. At the current time display, press SET once. The alarm time appears on the display. 2. Within 4 seconds, press and hold MODE for about 2 seconds. The alarm symbol and hour appear on the display. A or P appears for an AM or PM hour. Repeatedly press SET until the correct hour appears on the display. You can press and hold SET to rapidly advance the hours. 3. Press MODE. The alarm minutes and snooze symbol appear on the display. Repeatedly press SET to advance the alarm minutes forward. You can press and hold SET to rapidly advance the minutes. 4. Press MODE. The alarm time appears for about five seconds. The alarm and snooze symbols disappear. Then the clock returns to the current time display. Turning the Alarm and Snooze Functions On and Off To turn on the alarm, press SET so the alarm time appears. Within 4 seconds, press MODE. BELL SYMBOL appears on the display, and the clock returns to the current time display. At the set alarm time, the alarm sounds for about 30 seconds. Press either MODE or SET to silence the alarm sooner. The alarm will sound at the set alarm time every 24 hours until you turn it off. If you want to be able to silence the alarm but have it sound again seven minutes and 30 seconds later, you must turn on the snooze function. Press SET so the alarm time appears, then within 4 seconds, press MODE. Z now appears on the display along with BELL SYMBOL, and the clock returns to the current time. Now when the alarm sounds at the set alarm time, press MODE to silence the alarm temporarily. After seven minutes and 30 seconds, the alarm sounds again. Press MODE to continue the snooze/alarm cycle. Press SET to turn off the alarm until the set alarm time 24 hours later. To completely turn off the alarm and snooze, press SET so the alarm time appears. Within 4 seconds, press MODE. Both BELL SYMBOL and Z disappear, and the clock returns to the current time display.
