MPA-46 (320-2042) Operation Faxback Doc. # 7710 1. Set PHONO/AUX.CD on the back of the amplifier to PHONO or AUX.CD, depending on what you connected to the input jacks. Notes: The microphones connected to MIC 1 and MIC 2 and the audio input source connected to either the PHONO or AUX.CD input jacks are all used at the same time. You can connect input sources to PHONO and AUX.CD at the same time, but you can use only one source at a time. 2. Press POWER. The POWER indicator lights. 3. Start play on the audio input source. 4. Set MASTER VOLUME to 10 (mid position). 5. Adjust MIC 1, MIC 2, and AUX.CD/PHONO to the desired volume and balance. 6. Use the FREQUENCY EQUALIZER controls to adjust the sound level for the following frequency ranges: Control Sound Range 150 Hz Bass (low) sounds 1 kHz Middle sounds 6 kHz Treble (high) sounds Notes: Each control adjusts the corresponding frequency by +/- 12 dB. The sound is not affected at the mid position. 7. Adjust MASTER VOLUME to the desired level. Caution: Be careful not to raise the volume level too high. Doing so might overload the system. 8. Press POWER to turn off the amplifier. Using the Priority Terminals If you connected a switch to the amplifier's PRIORITY terminal, turn on the switch to give priority to the MIC 1 input.
