When you cannot load a microcassette, check to see if the cassette is
inserted correctly.

When a tape does not run:

     Check to see if the batteries are weak.

     Check to batteries' polarity.

     Check the AC or DC adapter connections.

     Check the multi-function switch.

When the sound level is unstable or low:

    Check to see if the batteries are weak.

    Check to see if the head and/or pinch roller is dirty.

    Check the VOLUME control.

When the previously recorded material is not erased completely, the erase
head is dirty.
