8-Inch Subwoofer (400-1348) Connections Faxback Doc. # 7943 The subwoofer has two sets of terminals. If you want to connect each channel of a stereo amplifier to a different subwoofer, use a jumper wire to connect the positive (red) terminal of one set of terminals to the remaining terminals to the amplifier. Use these same connections for a single subwoofer with a mono amplifier. If you want to connect both channels of a stereo amplifier to the same subwoofer, connect each channel to one of the sets of terminals. Connect the jumper wire between the positive (red) terminal on one side of the subwoofer and the negative (unmarked) terminal on the other side. Use these connections for a mono amplifier or for each channel of a stereo amplifier. Connections for a Stereo Amplifier and Two Subwoofers (Or Mono Amplifier and One Subwoofer) CAUTION: Be sure to observe proper polarity when making these connections. Reversed polarity causes the two signals to cancel out each other, resulting in a muffled bass sound. Model Number R.S SUB-WOOF 8" Speaker information: Tested on 3/5/90 V.C. D.C.R.
