SR2012 Satellite (160-2507) Descrambler Hookup Faxback Doc. # 8003 System Note: Our SR2012 receiver has more than enough power for VC2 (VC2 originally designed for commercial hookup). For composite video input: 1. Turn "off" TI filter. 2. Connect the: Dish (LNB) to Receiver "C" terminal connection. Receiver's "Descrambler Out" to Descrambler's "Composite Video" using an F to RCA adapter 278-255 (changes baseband connection to composite type input. Descrambler's "VHF Out to TV Descrambler's "VHF In from Ant" to TV ant 3. Set Input switch to the right 4. Set all levels clockwise. 5. Press "SAT/TV" button until first green light comes on. (Satellite LED). This means the VC2 is receiving an encoded signal. If no green light appears: - not hooked up - not enough signal strength from LNB - bad cord 6. Turn receiver to a scrambled channel (G1,a 4 Disney) the second green light should come on (Videocypher LED). If this light doesn't light, the VC2 is not receiving data. Check to see if you have a working dish, and a good strong signal without descrambler hooked up. Else will need: - Lower temperature LNB or - Larger dish 7. Press SET UP and 1 = gives you signal strength of station should be 35/35 - 50/50 & Unit ID. OR Press SET UP and 0 = gives you diagnostic data scrambled authorized good frame count, audio hold. If Good Frame Count: counts rapidly, Scrambled Authorized mode stays at SA and Audio Hold changes. (jlc-08/16/93)
