TAD-271 (430-0707) Features Faxback Doc. # 8018 The Duophone TAD-271 Dual Microcassette Telephone Answering System combines a full-function telephone answering device (TAD) and a 20-memory telephone. The system includes a digitally-synthesized voice that provides operation information, and the voice-stamp tells when you received a call or message. You can control the system from almost any touch-tone phone using a programmable security code. ANSWERING MACHINE FEATURES The systems answering machine includes the following features: Message Grouping - saves you from listening to messages you have already heard. Phone Pick-Up Detection - automatically resets the answering machine if you pick up the handset of any phone on the line after the answering machine answers a call. Toll Saver - saves you unnecessary toll charges when you check your messages by long distance. Remote Turn-On - lets you set the answering machine to the answer mode from a remote phone. Announce-Only - lets you leave an announcement for the caller without recording an incoming message. Memo Recording - lets you leave memos for yourself or others. Two-Way Recording - lets you record both sides of the telephone conversation. Room Monitor - lets you monitor, from a remote phone, the sound in the room where the system is located. Call Screening - lets you listen to a caller leave a message. Erase-Rewinding - lets you easily erase the income message tape. Cue/Review - lets you easily cue or review messages on the incoming message tape. CPC/VOX Circuits - save tape by automatically resetting the answering machine when the caller hangs up or after several seconds of silence. Switchable Message Length - lets you set the incoming message length for 30 seconds or 3 minutes. Switchable Ring Numbers - lets you set the answering machine to answer after the second or fourth ring. Memory Backup - lets you install a 9V battery to back up memory information, such as the remote security code, in case of a power failure. Error Indication - shows you if there is an operation error with the answering machine. TELEPHONE FEATURES The systems telephone includes the following features: Tone/Pulse Switchable - lets you use the phone with either type of service. 20-Number Memory - lets you store up to 20 phone numbers for quick dialing. Redial - lets you speed dial the last number called. Pause - provides pauses during memory dialing for systems that require an access code for an outside line. Selectable Ringer Volume - lets you set the ringer to a high or low volume, or to not ring at all.
