The Memorex Model 36 Multi-System VHS HQ VCR has the special capability to
play and record in these color TV systems:  PAL, SECAM, NTSC3.58 or
NTSC4.43.  (NTSC3.58 is the system used in the USA.)  Now you can exchange
home recordings with your friends world-wide, or enjoy pre-recorded video
cassettes you purchase in other countries.

The VCR also has PLL (Phase-locked loop) tuning to ensure extremely
accurate tuning of up to 68 VHF and UHF channels and up to 111 cable
channels.  The Model 36's full-function remote control makes it easy to
use.  The VCR offers all these features:

           Multi-System Capability - plays back video cassettes recorded
                                     using PAL, SECAM, NTSC358, or
                                     NTSC4.43 color TV systems.

       Automatic Voltage Selection - automatically powers your VCR in any
                                     country where the household AC
                                     voltage is between 100V and 240V

Automatic Tuner Memory Programming - automatically storeys all the active
                                     channels in your area into memory.

         179-Channel, Digital PLL, - lets you select up to 68 VHF or UHF
         Cable-Compatible Tuner      to 68 VHF or UHF channels (2-69) or
                                     up to 111 cable channels.

    2-Week, 7-Event, Digital Timer - lets you program the VCR to make up
                                     to six unattended recordings within a
                                     two-week period.  The seventh timer
                                     is for weekly recording.

                Automatic Tracking - adjusts the tracking automatically
                                     for each tape you play.

             Quick Timer Recording - lets you start a recording
                                     immediately which automatically stops
                                     recording after the length of time
                                     you select.

   Automatic Playback/Rewind/Eject - automatically plays, rewinds, and
                                     ejects a video cassette tape that has
                                     its erase-protection tab removed.

                      Index Search - lets you quickly locate a section of
                                     a tape recorded with VHS index
                                     signals.

                      HQ Circuitry - improves picture sharpness compared
                                     to similar non-HQ VCRs.

                      Freeze Frame - lets you stop the action and view a
                                     single recorded frame.  In NTSC or
                                     PAL mode, freeze-frame uses digital
                                     signals for a clearer picture.
