Your new Memorex Model 17 is a versatile color TV/monitor and 8mm VCR in 
one space-saving cabinet.  The included AC power supply and DC power cord
let you enjoy it almost anywhere-home, office, car, RV, van, or boat.  A 
built-in handle makes it easy to take along.  The Model 17 receives TV
programs and plays 8 mm video tapes off-the air or from a camcorder or 
another VCR.  In addition, the Model 17 plays your 8mm tapes on an 
external video monitor or any TV set that has audio/video input jacks.  
If desired, you can turn off the Model 17's picture and sound when you 
use it with external equipment

Flying Erase Head-allows smooth transitions between recorded sections.  

Digital Auto-Tracking Control-constantly adjusts the tape tracking for the
best possible picture. 

Automatic Memory Programming-lets you quickly store all active channels 
into memory.  

179-Channel, Digital, PLL, Cable-Compatible Tuner-offers a broad range of
viewing choices and a clear, sharp picture.

Real-Time Counter with Memory-lets you mark and return to a selected point
on the tape:  simplifies editing by showing you the actual play time from
a selected point; makes it easy to begin play at the beginning of a 
selection.  

Dual-Speed Playback-lets you play either SP (90-minute standard play) or 
LP (120-minute long play) tapes.

Easy-Access Audio-Video In/Out Jacks-provide easy connection for monitoring
your 8mm camcorder recordings, playing your recordings on a larger screen,
or dubbing recordings of any format.  

Visual Search-helps you find the section of the tape where you want to 
begin playing or recording by letting you view the tape as you fast-
forward or rewind.  

Freeze-Frame-lets you stop the action. 

Built-In Telescoping Antenna-provides adequate reception in most 
metropolitan areas.

External Antenna Jack-lets you connect an outside antenna for improved 
reception.  

Dew Protection System-protects the Model 17 by preventing VCR operation
in humid conditions.
