Translator

Your Radio Shack LCD Five-Language Translator is easy to use and is
specially designed for the world traveler.  Your can use it to translate
among English, French, German, Spanish, and Italian.

The metric conversion function lets you quickly convert between English
and metric measurements.  The translator also has a currency converter 
that makes it easy to convert between your home currency and each of five 
other currencies.

Other features include:

         World Time - Shows the date and time of any one of 128 cities in
                      the world.

10-Digit Calculator - Performs memory and percent calculations as well as
                      standard arithmetic operations.

      Phrase Memory - Shows the translation of preprogrammed common
                      phrases in eight categories (general,
                      accommodation, transport, restaurant, shopping,
                      money, emergency, and entertainment).

Automatic Power Off - Conserves battery power by turning off after three
                      minutes of non-use.  To turn off the translator,
                      press off.

   Display Contrast - Press MODE to display the date/time mode.  Then,
                      press up or down arrow repeatedly to adjust the
                      display's contrast level.  There are 16 levels.

         Input Tone - To turn the input tone on and off, press MODE to
                      display the date time mode.  Press bell (picture).
                      Upside down bell appears in the display's top right
                      corner to indicate that the input tone is on.
