The Realistic TRC-460 is a 40-channel CB transceiver that is specially
designed for emergency situations.  It comes with a handy carrying case so
that you can easily move it from one vehicle to another.  And, the TRC-460
is also a 3-channel weather radio.  You can use it to receive weather
information 24 hours a day.

You can power the TRC-460 from the cigarette-lighter socket in any vehicle
that has a 12-volt, negative ground electrical system.  You can also power
the transceiver from the supplied battery pack.

The TRC-460 comes with a telescoping antenna you can attach to the supplied
magnet-mount base for use when the vehicle is not moving, or directly
attach to the transceiver if you are away from your vehicle.

Note:  If plans to use the transceiver when the Vehicle is moving, we
       suggest that you purchase a standard magnetic-mount antenna.

Other features include:

Emergency Channel 9 Switch - Lets you  immediately switch to Channel 9, the
                             universal emergency channel.

PLL (Phase-Locked Loop) Tuning - Generates 40 precise channel frequencies 
                                 from a single crystal.  

Digital Channel-Number Display - Makes it easy to see which channel you
                                 select.

Range Control - Lets you eliminate background noise when no strong signals
                are present.  

Weatheradio Switch - Lets you quickly switch from CB to weather radio
                     operation.

Built-In Ceramic Filters - Ensure superior selectivity and freedom from
                           adjacent-channel interference.  

Built-In Automatic Noise Limiter - Helps reduce interference noise.

External Antenna Jack - With an optional adapter (278-208) lets you connect
                        the TRC-460 to an external CB radio antenna.
