This range varies according to your vehicle's antenna type and any obstructions between the vehicle and the pager, such as buildings or trees. To use the pager, set the power switch on the top of the pager to ON. The pager beeps until you press RESET. You can set the pager to notify you that someone is breaking into your vehicle, someone in the vehicle is paging you, or that you need to change the pager's battery. * If someone in your vehicle wants to page you, they press PAGE on the control module and this sends a signal to the pager. The pager beeps to notify you. The pager beeps to notify you. The system sends a signal for 25 seconds each time you press the button. * For notification in case of a violation, set the SIREN/BOTH/ALERT switch to either ALERT or BOTH. If the system is violated, the pager beeps to notify you. * To test the batteries, have a friend press PAGE on the control module as you move away from the vehicle. If the range significantly reduces after a period of time, replace the battery. You can also test the battery by pressing RESET on your pager. If it beeps steadily, the power is normal, but if it beeps intermittently, replace the battery. (SMC/jlc-03/22/94)
