Remote Control (490-0796) Optional Equipment Faxback Doc. # 8890 Alarm System The system has contacts that can be used to turn on optional alarm sounding or other gimmick and devices when the system is triggered. These contacts provide no power, they are simply switches. * To connect a device that is triggered by a normally open switch (the switch closes when the alarm sounds), connect its lead between Terminals 4 and 5. To connect a device that is triggered by a normally closed switch (the switch opens when the alarm sounds), connect its lead between Terminals 5 and 6. Note: For devices that require high-current loads, use larger gauge wire and an inline fuse. Connecting Additional Devices The control module's Terminal 14 provides 12 volts of DC power up to 300 milliamps when the system is armed. You can use this to provide power to other sensing devices for additional protection. (RLR/jlc-03/22/94)
