CONNECTING OPTIONAL SPEAKERS

You can connect your CB to an external or public-address speaker.

EXTERNAL CB SPEAKER

To connect an external CB speaker to the CB, use an 8-ohm speaker, capable
of handling 3- to 10-watts of power (such as Radio Shack's Cat. No.
21-549).  The speaker's cable must have an 1/8-inch plug.  Insert the
speaker cable's plug into the EXT SPKR jack on the back of the CB.  The
CB's internal speaker disconnects.

PA SPEAKER

To use the CB's public address function, connect a cable with an 1/8-inch
plug to the PA SPKR jack on the back of the CB and to an 8-ohm, 5-watt or
more speaker, such as Cat. No. 40-1236.
