Alarm System

This alarm system's remote control lets you arm and disarm the system away
from the base.

To install the remote control's battery, remove the battery compartment
cover by sliding it in the direction of the arrow.  Then install a 12V
lighter battery (Cat. No. 23-144).

Note:  After you install the battery you must follow the procedures
       described in "Using the Learn Mode" (Faxback Doc. # 8920) for the
       remote control to operate properly.

ADDING OR REMOVING A REMOTE CONTROL

Follow these steps to add or remove a remote control from the system.

1. Press LEARN. The LEARN indicator flashes.

2. Enter your personal access code. The LEARN indicator lights steadily.

3. Press any two keys on the new remote control at the same time. The base
   sounds a short tone to confirm the addition or removal of the remote
   control.

Note:  There is no visual indication to confirm the addition or removal
       of a remote control.

4. Repeat Step 3 for each remote control you add or remove.

5. Press CANCEL to exit the learn mode.

Note:  You can have up to 4 remote controls with this system. When you add
       a new remote control to the system, the system clears all the
       settings of existing remote controls from memory. This lets you
       disable a lost or missing remote control. Each time you add new
       remote control, you must perform Step 3 for all remote controls to
       allow the base to relearn the remote controls.
