The TandyFax 1040 Fax Machine is designed to work with an existing
telephone, saving the expense of an extra phone line.  The Fax machine
is compact, yet it uses the latest computerized image-sending technology
to send copies of your important documents almost anywhere in the world.
The fax machine is easy to install and use.

You can connect an answering machine to your TANDYFAX 1040.  If the
incoming call is a voice call, the answering machine receives the call, if
the incoming call is a fax call, the fax machine receives the call.

The fax machine also includes the following features:

CCITT* Group 3 Fax Compatibility - Lets you send to and receive from 
                                   most fax equipped computers.

Adjustable Transmission Settings - Lets you adjust the resolution so you
                                   send the best possible copy.

Copy Function - Lets you make a copy of a document.

Transmission Report - Lets you review information about documents you send.

Automatic Fax Switch - Can be set to alert you when the fax machine answers
a voice call, so you can talk to the caller.  This setting also makes the
fax machine automatically receive a fax for fax calls.

Optical Programming Sheets - Lets you easily change the fax machine's 
                             options.
