TandyFax 1505 (430-1216) Memory Dialing Faxback Doc. # 8960 You can store up to 50 fax and/or voice numbers in the Autodialer of the TANDYFAX 1505. These numbers can be dialed by entering 2-digit code numbers. For each code number, you can enter a fax or voice number, and a name. Storing Numbers * Notes * You may need to add a pause between certain numbers to allow time for connection. For example, if you are on a PBX telephone system that requires an access number to be dialed (such as "9") to access an outside line, you will need to enter a pause between the access number and the number of the receiving fax machine. * Pauses are entered by pressing the REDIAL/PAUSE key. Each pause gives a time of delay of about 2 seconds. If necessary, several pauses can be entered in a row. Step Press these keys: Comments 1 FUNCTION 3 Enter ENTRY MODE. 2 # Scroll down to FAX/TEL # MODE 3 1 Press "1" to select SET. 4 0 1 Enter a 2-digit number (from 01 to 50) (example) This will be the code number. 5 5 5 5 1 2 3 4 Enter the fax or voice number (Example) using the numeric keys. 6 START/COPY Press START/COPY. 7 ABC..DEF..GHI..WXY Enter the name of the location or party 2 3 4 9 (max. of 20 characters).(See the first (Example) section of this chapter). If you don't want to enter a name, skip this step. 8 START/COPY Press START/COPY. 9 STOP You can now make entries for a new number (go back to Step 4), or press STOP to exit ENTRY MODE. Using a pencil, write the telephone number (or the name) which you have programmed in the space provided above the respective key. Caution: * Avoid frequent erasure of this number, as eraser particles may enter the cracks between the key and the panel, causing key malfunction. In addition, frequent erasure will dull the luster of the panel surface. * Do not use writing utensils with hard or sharp tips such as ball-point pens. These may damage the panel surface. CLEARING NUMBERS Step Press these keys: Comments 1 FUNCTION 3 Enter ENTRY MODE. 2 # Scroll down to FAX/TEL.# MODE. 3 2 Press "2" to select CLEAR. 4 0 1 Enter the code number which you (Example) want to clear using the numeric keys. 5 START/COPY Press START/COPY to clear the number. 6 STOP Return to Step 4 to clear another number, or press STOP to exit ENTRY MODE. CHANGING NUMBERS To change Rapid Key or Speed Dial number entries previously made, repeat the storing procedure. Select the Rapid Key or Speed Dial number for which you want to make changes in Step 4, and then change the number and/ or name when they appear in the display (Step 5 and 7, respectively).
