This page explains how to remove the Apocalypse 3D software and hardware from your computer.

Removing the software

Using the Apocalypse Home Page

Select the Drivers option, and select Remove the drivers.

Using the Start menu

Click Start, point to Programs, then VideoLogic, then click Remove PowerVR.

Using the Control Panel

To remove the software:

  1. Open the Control Panel window by clicking the Start button, pointing to Settings and clicking Control Panel.

  2. Double-click the System icon to open the System Properties Window.

  3. Click the Device Manager tab.

  4. Double-click Sound, video and game controllers.

  5. Click Apocalypse 3D, and click Remove.

  6. A dialog box is displayed asking you if you want to restart Windows. Click No.

  7. Shut down Windows.

 

Removing the hardware

To remove the hardware:

  1. Switch off your computer, monitor, and any hardware devices such as printers connected to your computer. Leave the power cable connected to the power outlet so that your computer is grounded.

  2. Disconnect the monitor cable from your computer.

    Warning: Always switch off your computer before removing the cover and observe the warnings specified in the manufacturer’s documentation.

  3. Remove the computer’s cover. You may need to refer to the documentation supplied with your computer for instructions on how to do this.

  4. Remove the Apocalypse 3D card from its PCI slot.

  5. Replace the cover of your computer.

  6. Switch on your computer and your computer monitor.

  7. When Windows is running you can delete the following files from the disk on which you are running Windows:

    \windows\system\vsgl.vxd
    \windows\inf\apoc3D.inf
    \windows\pvros.dll
    \windows\pvrmid5.dll
    \windows\apoc3D.bmp
    \windows\pcx2help.hlp

    Direct3D files

    \windows\system\pvrhal32.dll
    \windows\system\pvrinit.exe
    \windows\system\pvrsm3d.dll
